in the US you get to choose... (2.00 / 0)

what class you're in, sort of, I mean you can be born poor and gain wealth and/or educational credentials. The most elitist class isn't the richest, it's the professional class, and our university scholars. That's Obama's class, he's an intellectual, or he sees himself as an intellectual.  He's a university instructor, who says he's a professor, and professors profess to know more than the rest of us, that's what professing is about. When it's facts we give that to them, but when they elevate their opinions over our opinions, and when they claim to know more about us than we know about ourselves, that's elitism, it's the elite who are on high and who judge those below. Some of the most out of touch, proud, and judgmental people came from the bottom. They worked their way into a new class, and they aim to take advantage. Come on, we all know people like that.  You can like him anyway, but he's far from humble. running for president with such a slim vita is not a sign of humbleness. And Michele gives lie to what she's professing when she tells us that "we need him."  Excuse me, I do not think I need to be led by anyone, I just want a president who can do the job.

No offense - but you either dont understand what a professor is/does or you have never encountered one. Ramble all you like, but try to stay away from complete bullshit.

A Professor.

then I guess.... (2.00 / 0)

you can explain it to me? this is a matter of opinion, there are no facts in dispute.  His campaign has spun it just like that, until they noticed it wasn't helping. Do you have tenure?  Do you expect your students to learn from you?  Somehow I think my opinions can stay my own, I can defend them, but don't expect anyone to just roll over and agree with me.  I don't like anyone telling me what I'm missing and what I need.  And that's truth.

"That's Obama's class, he's an intellectual"

Yeah, cause we do SO WELL electing a dumb-ass that everbody wants to drink beer with...

As Jon Stewart said on the daily show...

"ELITE! If you're Elite enough as the President, they carve your head on a mountain?"

I want someone so elite as president, it makes my head spin!!!!

I want someone that can write the Gettysburg address on the back of an envelope, not a guy that can't pronounce "Nuclear!!!!"

What, Franklin D. Roosevelt was some county bumpkin?

Like the Word Liberal, The Republics noise machine has made the word "Elite" a shame word.

I want the most ELITE Smartest MOTHER on the Planet in there.....

And, if being an Intellectual is the basis for Obama's Elitism, then about fricking time!

that's honest (2.00 / 0)

I'm not looking for a healer, or for someone to inspire me and I don't appreciate anyone telling me what I need, and I don't think because someone is educated they necessarily know all that much.  To me he's book smart, maybe, but lacks common sense. He hasn't enough sense to know if his opinions are offensive and to keep them to himself.  He has a law degree, so what, that makes him smart enough to tell others why they do what they do, and how they feel and why? I don't think so, but you may.
